Food insecurity is one of the biggest challenges in our country, with one in five families with children going hungry or missing meals.

As three brothers who have grown up in Bristol and founded a food business, we feel a responsibility to give back to the community and help where we can to tackle this issue. We’re super proud to work with organisations including FareShare – the UK’s biggest charity fighting hunger and food waste – and other local charities including Square Food Foundation, Missing Link and Caring in Bristol.

Once a month, our team get together and pack hundreds of food boxes full of tasty Jolly Hog products. These boxes are then hand delivered by us to families in the Bristol area, providing them with valuable meal kits for the weeks ahead.

We regularly volunteer at The Square Food Foundation, a charity based in Bristol that teaches people of all ages and abilities how to cook, with the aim of reducing hunger, improving health, and bringing people together.

Hey, we’re a B-Corp!

We were extremely proud to become the first meat company in the UK to be awarded B-Corp status. As a family business based in Bristol, it’s always been deeply ingrained us to be doing the right thing by our team, our consumers, and our planet.

B Corp is an amazing way to both show customers that we are doing exactly that, and to also keep us on the right path to constantly assess and improve our impact on all of them. This doesn’t mean we’re perfect, or we’re better than anyone else – we know we still have a long way to go – but it simply means we’re genuinely trying to be better as a company for everyone involved, pledging to put purpose before profit.
