Bacon loaded French toast crumpets

- The Jolly Hog Black Treacle Bacon
- 4 crumpets
- 2 eggs
- 50ml milk
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons of icing sugar
- Maple or golden syrup, to serve
Method
- Cook The Jolly Hog Black Treacle Bacon according to pack instructions
- Meanwhile, beat the eggs, milk, sugar and spices together in a bowl
- Add the crumpets to the egg mixture and leave to soak for a minute
- Melt the butter in a frying pan and once hot, add the crumpets. Fry for 4-5 minutes, flipping half way until the crumpets and golden and crisp
- Remove from the pan, top with the thick cut bacon and drizzle with syrup. Tuck in and enjoy!
