We’ve come up with some delicious side salads to accompany our new hot smoked BBQ range. This crispy broccoli salad pairs perfectly with our Buffalo Pork Belly slices… give it a try yourself at your next BBQ gathering!
Buffalo Pork Belly & Crispy Broccoli Salad

Ingredients
- 1 head of broccoli
- 1 pack of The Jolly Hog Smoked Back Bacon
- 2 shallots
- A quarter of a loaf of sourdough or ciabatta
- Juice of half a lemon
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 garlic clove
- Handful of crumbled feta
Method
- Pre heat your oven to 180 degrees. Cut your broccoli into small florets and place on a baking tray.
- Finely slice the shallot and bacon and nestle this in amongst the broccoli on the tray, then drizzle everything generously with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
- Roast for 20 minutes until everything is golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a large bowl to cool slightly.
- Tear your bread into small chunks, place on the same tray and toss in olive oil. Bake for 10 minutes until the croutons are crispy and browned.
- For the dressing, mix olive oil with the lemon zest, lemon juice, a clove of crushed garlic and salt & pepper.
- Add the croutons to the bowl of broccoli along with crumbled feta, then toss the dressing through the salad.
- Cook our Buffalo Pork Belly according to pack instructions and serve alongside this delicious fresh salad!
