Looking for a showstopper sharer to feed friends and family? This fondue is super easy to make, indulgent and a perfect way to get everyone tucking in together!

Ingredients

  • The Jolly Hog Pigs in Blankets
  • The Jolly Hog Proper Porkers
  • 1 circular cob loaf
  • 250ml dry white wine
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • 200g gruyere
  • 200g emmental
  • Cornichons - to serve
  • Silverskin onions - to serve

Method

  1. Cook the pigs in blankets and proper porkers in the oven according to pack instructions
  2. Whilst they're cooking, carve the top off the loaf and hollow it out. Place the hollowed out bread into the oven for 5 minutes. Chop up the hollow centre, cut into chunks, drizzle with oil and bake in the oven to make croutons
  3. Pour the wine and the lemon juice into a large pan and bring to the boil. Simmer for a minute
  4. Take off the heat and whisk in the cornflour
  5. Put the pan back on the head and add the grated cheese – stir until a stringy consistency is achieved
  6. Remove all items from the oven, chop the proper porkers into chunks and serve with the pigs in blankets, croutons, cornichons and silver skin onions. Pour the cheese fondue into the hollowed bread bowl and enjoy!
